How do you build a pension that actually covers your retirement?
A pension is the most tax efficient way most people can save. Lynx helps you start one, trace and review the ones you have already built up and plan the income you will actually retire on. Clear options, built around your situation
Starting A Pension
The State Pension (Contributory) pays a maximum of €299.30 a week for someone drawing it down at 66. For most people that is a basic amount, not a plan for the future. The question is how much you need in addition to that amount, and whether what you have already put aside is doing the job you think it is. Lynx Financial Services has advised individuals, families and business owners on pensions for more than 25 years.
- Starting a pension: For employees, company directors and self-employed professionals, including PRSA, personal pension and AVC options, and what tax relief is actually available to you.
- Reviewing what you already have: Tracing pensions left behind with former employers, explaining how each is performing and working out whether consolidating them helps you or costs you flexibility.
- Planning retirement income: Deciding how to take a retirement lump sum, how to generate an income afterwards and how to keep the plan under review as you get closer.
Help with Existing Plan
The nature of work today has changed. As a result, many of us have multiple employer pensions invested. If you worked abroad, you may still have a pension in that country.
We help our clients locate existing pension products, explain how they are performing and if consolidation is the best option. If you have multiple pension pots, consolidating them into one may not always be the best strategy. Having two or three separate pensions from different employers can provide flexibility, allowing you to access a lump sum from one while preserving another for later retirement.
When it comes to performance, over time, your appetite for risk may change and as such, you may wish to amend your investment strategy – we offer guidance on what this means for you. Whether it’s a personal pension, self employed or executive pension scheme you have options, and we can help you understand what they are and what will work best for you.
